Sydney taxi passangers are about to get a new service, and a better and more secure way to catch and pay for a cab. Sydney taxi drivers are about to have a better and more productive, secure way to accept job offers and receive payments. It is called Taxis By the middle of April 2009, you will, as a passanger, make your job offer with a few key strokes on your 3G mobile to all online taxis of the 5500 in Sydney. * Pick up and Destination * Preferred Driver and Taxi Type * Payment Methods TAXIS is not a booking service its TAXIS From your own mobile, using securely registered details of credit cards or corporate account, you will pay the fare (with less than the current standard 10% + GST rip-off) and get an e-mail receipt / tax invoice to your web address.* You can access all the details and records on-line and create cost centres. * No longer will you give all your credit card details to a random unknown cabbie !! * You can create one-off authorisations for use for staff or family--limited by time, date or value - and forget about mysterious "blue" dockets which may arrive a few months later.
The accepting driver has your
details and you have his, it means an end to "no show" jobs. For the credit card customer
using Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club, the surcharge is 8.49% including GST. In the GFC it
is an initiative of taxi drivers to do it better, and to provide an improved and secure taxi service to passangers, and to reduce costs. The system works off what most drivers and passengers already have-- an internet enabled 3G mobile phone. It works as a browser based system on all connections. Reporting, receipt printing and update entry is naturally best on a PC, but any smart mobile works--and if necessary you the customer can use the driver's phone. The best test us to use it. Just go toTAXIS and register on-line. It costs nothing and will give you the sort of service which should have been available to every passanger long ago. Tell your corporate accounts to do the same, and any overlapping names will automatically get linked to the corporate account. The web is where it all happens. |
